    Best keyboard cover on the market, but not designed for on the go removal

    Rugged for schools means also ideal for travel and rough and tumble daypack hauling to a cafe. This particular version - 2017 version - works by burying your iPad 2017 (made for this model) and iPad 2018 (doesn't have loop for attaching your optional pencil, otherwise works fine) deep into a very protective, but not too heavy, shell. The advantage of this shell, vs. Logitech Slim Combos, is that it has some REAL drop protection, from desk height to concrete floor levels of protection. The penalty is extra large bezels all the way around, and headphone access limited to straight (not "L") shaped headphone plugs since the port becomes deeply recessed. The keyboard is superb, and it's NOT Bluetooth, it's got POGO pins along the edge for magnetic connection. So no pairing, batteries, or ...

    Just what I needed

    Really like this, as I'm trying to shake my laptop-addiction while traveling. This does make the iPad a bit bulky, but I'm comparing it to carrying a laptop, so it seems pretty light. Keyboard is great. I wish the case could lock open at a 90-degree angle so that I could use the iPad on my lap with the keyboard available. Other than that, no complaints.

    Great keyboard and case

    This is probably the best iPad keyboard I have ever bought. It is super easy to use and super easy to connect since it doesn't use bluetooth. The only complaint I have is that sometimes it won't work even after I disconnect it and reconnect it, and I have to restart my iPad. That has only happened twice, so other than that it is a super good case and keyboard! it is also super protective. it is kind of bulky, but you never have to worry about breaking it if you drop it.

    Definitely a rugged case for your iPad

    I purchased this rugged case for an iPad that will be shared in my office for doing virtual meetings. I wanted something that had a little "substance" and would protect the iPad. I bought a used case and am very impressed with it. Everything seems to work very well - and I feel like the iPad is protected much better than any other case/sleeve that I've seen. Added benefit - this case has an attached keyboard that is very useful.

    Best all around Rugged with Keyboard

    All around best of all worlds, not most rugged, but best with included, detachable keyboard. Keyboard conserves battery well, and no lag as sometimes with wireless. 2 layer protection for ipad consistent with other more rugged cases. Speakers redirect forward. Charger connects thru case. Closed keyboard protects the screen, but I recommend an Armorsuit Military grade screen protector.
