    great book

    This goes far beyond a "puberty book" and I was very impressed by the content. I bought this for a young girl, but even I managed to learn some things I wish I'd known "way back when". It talks about drugs, peer pressure, beauty standards, and a lot of other stuff you might deal with. I find that most books don't give the perspective of "popular" girls, and I was glad this one did. It also dealt with body insecurity. The only hitch I found was that it gave a description of a "perfect girl", trying to make other girls "feel better." Just because you're not 5'9" and a size four doesn't mean you're not pretty. Some girls, including the one I gave the book to, are exactly 5'9" and a size 4. I don't think any media should describe "the" perfect anything because we should all be happy in our ...
