    Ensure copper cylinder model, not stainless cylinder.

    This one is to replace the last one of 18years, before it failed. I understand they have a finite life, and I am hoping this replacement unit will last a while, also. However, the newer style of this unit has a stainless steel cylinder, and I believe it is now manufactured in China. Surprise? Sadly, many reviews have spoken that, despite still having the same model number, the newer unit is plagued with issues and not reliable, which is why I made sure to purchase the one with the copper cylinder. PS - Big box stores sell a unit manufactured by Oatey. I wasn't impressed by the very small cylinder size, and numerous people spoke that it didn't perform well. I'll take old, but reliable, any day. We'll see what happens.

    Wont seal to newer style hoses

    It wont seal to the newer style hoses that have a full liner gasket combo. It seals to the old style gaskets but no the newer lined hose gasket combos .

    Stripped Connection Nut

    I have worked 30 yrs as a Professional Pipefitter. I went to install this valve today, my first opportunity since receiving. The Nut that was to connect to the wall tap was stripped and I could not install. Please send me a new one.

    Be wary of American standards compared to Australian connections.

    This product comes with the wrong threads for Australia. Does not fit on washing hose
