I also requested a solution for cheaper shipping. I have an account with Fedex for two-day shipping. I could email the seller with a Fedex label, all he would need to do is bring the item to Fedex and they would package and ship for $35- a big savings over his $100. He NEVER replied to any of my offers, before or after purchase.
