    Easy to link to cell phone, but computer link requires a learning curve

    The set-up to cell phone and tablet was very easy, but don't make a mistake. The menus all allow for an easy fix of mistakes, but finding them requires quite a bit of help reading and poking around. I am trying to set up Blue Iris to use computer storage, but the camera keeps changing the IP addresses for my two cameras. Result is camera login timed out, check IP address and password error. Very easy to fix in front of my desktop, but not with cellphone while away from home. I am sure that I will find the solution, but it is a slow process since it is very hard to get help over the phone and if I'm talking to Amcrest, it is a Blue Iris problem and vice versa. Stubbornness will win over phone menus and email delays, so I will get it running, Camera views are great with excellent details. ...

    Camera video great, sound not. App real sketchy.

    Numerous posts about app. Do not use lite, I couldn't even finish setup. Pro has worked fine so far. Have not set up cloud app but my son has on his and not too bad. Camera works well for video and pretty clear audio coming out of cam speaker from speaking thru the app but most of the time you cannot hear sounds coming back to you from the camera ... voices low and muffled. Rarely it suddenly goes loud and clear then back out to so low, distant and muffled you get nothing

    Good basic home security camera

    For the price, the Amcrest ProHD is a decent camera with pan/zoom capability. I like the 1080p resolution and the ability to select zones for the motion trigger. The app and the desktop setup works reasonably well, although I think it could be made more user-friendly. It doesn't do a good job of saving my schedule and I have to re-enter it every time I change some of the settings. Some of the more advanced features are available only through the desktop set up. I'm tech savvy enough to tinker with it and figure things out. So I didn't bother to engage their customer support. I suspect some other people might have to. Their shipping was super-fast (even for my weekend order) and I got more than enough feedback through the ordering process and afterwards as well inviting questions and ...

    Wish they sold a weatherproof enclosure for this cam . . .

    I don't like the specs of their normal outdoor cam or the excessive wires and . . . lack of other features. I am forced to custom make an enclosure for this 841W in a well covered area. Hope I get a few years of good use ??? I can't help it . . . I'm particular.
