    A step up to 4 cores

    This was a nice upgrade from a less powerful i5. Along with a new 500GB SSD it made this ThinkPad T540p much more attractive to my buyer. As in most laptops the whole thing needed to be disassembled but I would have done that anyway to replace the thermal compound and pads on any PC I was reconditioning.

    OUTSTANDING CPU

    Great CPU. Easy to install removing heat sink and sliding fan over. CPU run quiet with little heat dispensation. Can handle modest computing. Breath performance into a Laptop; especially, the HP. Price is great. Replacing a dual core to four core CPU make a difference for endurance. Satisfied with the CPU passing all test after upgrading. Max temp is 100 degrees Celsius which most Laptop CPU's don't get higher than 80 degrees Celsius. Great CPU for daily computing and internet. Intel 4th Generation CPU's are outstanding.

    Great performance, need good venting

    This is a good cpu and has lots of power but it can get hot. I run this in my Thinkpad T440p which normally accommodates a 37 watt tdp chip. At 47 watts this can heat it up pretty high. But worth it none the less

    mi lap resurrected

    Very goog product, I was looking for this processor since mine got damage when mi lap was in water (turned off) for an hour because a very strong rain that made got water into my home 2 years ago. I disassembled all parts, let them dry and assembled everything again, but the processor was the only one suffered damage. Very happy mi lap resurrected!!
