    Nice processor for AM3 system

    Great CPU for the money. Six Phenom cores is still fine for everyday use, and maxes out what I can do with my AM3 system whilst keeping to reasonable power consumption (95W). It sped my system up considerably so it is a lot more responsive than before when I was using my old Athlon ii x4. I also undervolted it a lot so the cores run at just over 22 degrees C at idle, but it still manages to stay stable under full load on Prime95, so it's actually quite a frugal beast!

    Potentially working CPU

    When I purchased it and my first time installing, the type of AMD motherboard I read an error message at the bottom of the screen in POST (Power-On-Self-Test) that the CPU was a mismatch and in order to use it, I must update the BIOS/update the system entirely-buy a brand new motherboard that supports DDR3 RAM-UNBUFFERED NON-ECC and the phenom II x6 1055t processor, then, boot in UEFI mode, if possible.

    Good CPU for AM3 upgrade

    Great upgrade for my AM3 system that will be repurposed for full time rendering. Performs well with AIO water cooler. There were some conflicting info in the description, one place mentions fan and heatsink included and later it say OEM tray. There is no fan/heatsink but you can get a nice aftermarket solution like Hyper 212 or something and it will perform well.

    The Loyal Phenom II Hexa-Core

    A hexa-core CPU clocked @ 2.8 GHz is very fast, powerful and can handle any PC payload. Pair it with a RX 480 and your set for gaming, streaming, video editing or any other heavy resource tasks. I have not made the attempt to overclock just yet, I have been very impressed with the overall speed as is.

    A great upgrade from the quad core athlon II CPU.

    Have an older PC from 2009 and this cpu is a great replacement. The coard I got it on has overclocking features and this cpu can get to almost 4 GHz with ease. It's a good choice for an older PC and some light gaming.
