    direct replacement for original Type Cover

    Bought this as a replacement for the Type Cover which originally came with my Surface. Functions are all the same, I am still getting used to the color. Nice to have the keyboard function back!

    Handy device priced better than anywhere else I could find.

    The Microsoft Signature Keyboard/Cover is a handy little gizmo for those who have difficulty typing directly on a tablet PC that's simultaneously too sensitive and not sensitive enough. It requires no batteries of its own, connects easily to a Microsoft Surface Tablet without the need for additional drivers or configuration tweaks, and the back lighting is a great added bonus.

    Great keyboard/pen combination.

    Great keyboard with good look and feel. For a "laptop" keyboard the key touch and action are very good. Love the pen and charger system. The pen surprised me. It has a nice feel for a flat/slim stylus. I was surprised at its smoothness on the screen. This may not seem important, but I have an iPad in a case with a pen holder and I can insert the pen into the charging slot incorrectly and it won't charge. The Slim Pen flips to the correct charging side when you drop it in the charging slot so it will always charge.
