Reviews
Greg Jao is legendary as a lover of students and a lover of books. For Christ's glory, he has long encouraged students to read widely, to think deeply, to hone their minds so that they might understand God's Word and world and serve well. He's also a wonderful writer, and now, in this great little book, he has given us exactly what every student needs: a quick and easy-to-read guide that makes the case for a missional mind, 'thinking Christianly' and honoring Christ as king in every career and calling, across every zone of life. Greg is the perfect author for this nearly perfect book.

Synopsis
Your mind has a mission. Sometimes it might seem like Christians just want your body--to serve or go. Or it might seem like they just want your heart--to emote in worship or commit to a cause. But that's not all. God invites us to love him with our minds as well. Being holistic, global Christians means that we need to think well about the world around us. Greg Jao roots our pursuit of the discipleship of the mind in our allegiance to and love for Jesus. Because Jesus is Lord of all, our intellectual engagement is a way we can bring all things under Christ. Jao addresses common myths that result in a passive engagement of our intellect with our faith. He provides key disciplines for Christian discipleship of the mind, how we can love God with our minds in community, obedience and humility. With practical application and formational activities throughout, this guide offers concrete ways to integrate the life of the mind into a life of mission and ministry. The Christian mind is a missional mind. Discover how you can use your mind to extend the glory of God throughout the world. Includes questions for group discussion., Your mind has a mission.Sometimes it might seem like Christians just want your body--to serve or go. I thought I was ordering a paper back, especially considering the price was only around $10. I'm not sure if they shipped a hard cover by mistake. But I am more than happy to accept it. The description wasn't clear on what it was. So this could very well have been the intended item. I was not very impressed with their customer service at all. It took them days to respond and they didn't seem to care about the delay in shipping. I might purchase again, but I would be cautious as it was delayed.

The book was exactly as described and arrived quickly. The only problem is a recurring one with this seller and other similar sellers - the book is poorly packaged in a plastic envelope and gets heavily bumped in shipping. I would like to see the books wrapped before shipment, but I understand this can't be done for cost reason. Luckily it isn't an expensive book, and I will continue to purchase basic books from this seller. A+++++
