    OEM part is worth the money...

    It's hard to get excited over a faucet cartridge for the shower but the item is a necessity and the OEM Moen part is definitely the best. I have used the less expensive after market replacements successfully, but this item just feels right (and, I may be hallucinating, but I feel like this cartridge gives a better "mix" between the hot and cold supplies). For a well made item that lasts a good long while, I will continue to pay the (modestly) higher price.

    Smooth as silk operation

    Great replacement for the plastic Moen 1225-B. After a short time the 1225-B is hard to turn on and adjust, and equally hard to turn off. After a few weeks the 1225-B is nearly useless. Not so with the 1200. It glides smooth as silk.

    This replaced a new "for Moen" cartridge that leaked because it was not the genuine Moen part. Watch out for knock-offs. This part is the real deal and it works.
