Synopsis
Bestselling knitting author and humorist Pearl-McPhee is back with an irresistible collection of witty observations on how knitting and life wisdom are spun together., With a knitter's perspective, Stephanie Pearl-McPhee describes the astonishing wisdom and hard-to-swallow truths that are embedded in everyday clichés. You'll laugh with Pearl-McPhee as she realizes that "babies grow" after spending nights knitting a now-too-small sweater. "Beginning is easy, continuing is hard" takes on a new meaning to the knitter who has five projects going, but wants to start another. The next time you drop a stitch, take a cue from this insightful collection and remember, "if at first you don't succeed, try, try again.", With a knitter's perspective, Stephanie Pearl-McPhee describes the astonishing wisdom and hard-to-swallow truths that are embedded in everyday clich s. • Things I Learned from Knitting

This book is a lighthearted look at one person's musings while knitting. She tells how she deals with ripping out patterns, the problems she encounters when not paying attention to gauge swatches. Things I Learned was a fast read and I enjoyed the fact that I could relate to what she was writing. I am currently looking into more of her books and listen to her blog on my ipod while walking. She has found a new fan.

  • Very funny!

This book is very funny! Knitters will love it. (-:

  • Things I Learned From Knitting... Whether I Wanted To

Knitters would understand everything about this little book. I'm not sure nonknitters would, but then why would they? Stephanie's humor is underlain with truth and wit. A good read, with more depth (and pages) than it would first appear.

  • A Wonderful book about knitting

Hysterical knitting book, plus good, solid advise too. Stephanie is a wonderful writer and knitter. You should buy all of her books if you want some good knitting entertainment.
