Spawn's voice acting line-up includes Richard Dysart, Dominique Jennings, and Keith David in the starring role. Al Simmons, a former contract killer, finds himself thrown into a situation he had no way of preparing for: dying. Al is deep in the depths of Hell and the only way he can return to his wife is to make a deal with the Devil. Given new life as Hellspawn, he must scour the Earth and battle creatures of darkness in order to fulfill his destiny.

Spawn Animated Series HBO
This animated series is BY FAR, the best representation of the comic. Unlike the horrific movie that was produced some time ago, THIS actually keeps to the storyline exceedingly well. Voice acting in it is superb, the dark, emotion filled feeling of the story will grab you from the first 5 minutes. I had this originally on VHS, and through many moves, I lost the tapes. I HAD to purchase the DVDs just to go back and see how truly wonderful this animated series was. For any comic book fan, and even non comic book fan; if you're looking for something different, then this is for you. It has something for everyone.

Good series
I never saw the animated series when it was on HBO, and I've only watched a few episodes of this. But for $10-30, you can't beat this bundle as a comic-fan. You're lucky to get one season of any TV show for that price, much less three! Anyway, the voice acting is good (unlike the movie lol), and the art is simply amazing.. it definitely has that comic-book and anime feel to the motion. It's got a lot of defining character, and Spawn is so bold that it freaks my wife out. It's more violent than the first few Spawn comics, but less violent than the most recent ones. Overall a very nice balance. Don't let your kids have this, there's nudity, cussing, and violence.

one of the best animated series of all time!!!!
a very well doen series. as expected from todd mcfarlane. this is a series that i would watch over and over the only thing i disslike about it is that it is not longer, i am a colector of the sawn comics also i like that the story line slightly changed for the animated series. this tin case tenth anniversary edition is a great present for a friend or for yourself highly recommended.

I’ve been wanting to watch the original HBO Spawn series for a long time. I’ve held off because I wanted to find the SteelBook version at a decent cost, and luckily I did. I have not yet watched it so I’m not sure about how it will look on a 4K TV but I’m happy with it regardless
