About this product

Product Information

In Dungeon Master II: Skullkeep, command Torham as he chooses three fellow adventurers (out of 15 total) and embarks on his trek into Skullkeep. Each character has his or her own attributes in areas of strength, dexterity, wisdom, vitality, anti-magic, and anti-fire. Their overall health, stamina (hit points), and mana (magic points) are also monitored.

Dragoth is coming. Zalk has heard better news. Unless he and his minions are suppressed in the Void, evil will reign supreme over the land. It's up to a small band of warriors led by Torham Zed to enter the mighty fortress known as Skullkeep. There, they will attempt to gather the four keys necessary in opening the Zo Link Machine, a portal to the Void. If successful, they will enter the Void for a final battle with Dragoth.

As you travel through each maze-like area on your way to the equally challenging fortress, you will encounter Dragoth's minions in real-time, first-person combat. Time your attacks wisely and use magic at opportune moments in order to fight effectively. As the game progresses, you will be able to find and purchase more powerful weapons and armor. You'll also have to solve numerous puzzles in order to advance.

The forces of Dragoth will be relentless. Fortunately, however, so will you.

  • reminiscing games of the past

Despite the lack of a manual, I found the game thusfar to be challenging and full of things to do that most games of the time lacked. It works well in my CLD-A100 Pioneer system with the SEGA S-10 pack. I had a little trouble at first with the opening of doors ( which is most likely a challenge point in the game ) and then once beyond certain obstacles found the game quite fascinating. Rival games of the time such as Dragon Warrior by Nintendo fared well in comparison, but the storyline of this particular game has been somewhat enjoyable. 3 of 5 stars.
