I initially bought these tires after extensive searching for the right size and threads. One summer after an extensive 6hr bike ride on my Trek 200, with mountain type tires, (although the bike was designed as "Comfort rider with those tires"), I found out I was beating myself due to continuous pedaling. The other riders had tires what we're either 1-3/8 to 1.50 and would gliding along the fine road. Having a 26x1.95 size tire was a big mistake, although the bike came with them. I was advised to replace the tires size to a 26x1.50 smoother threads. Although the 1.50 size is quite popular, the treads is also important to get right, so that you have grip of the road, but also allow water and debris out from under the tire. I recommend them.
