    Brilliant writing, clever dialogue.

Great and clever dialogues throughout. Easy to miss some of it; will watch again. Recognized New Mexico scenes. Everyone played their role well. The alien was brilliant. Highly recommend.

    Raunchy And Deceptive

I watched this movie last night and was nowhere near as impressed with it as I thought I would be. The writer obviously wanted to poke fun at the belief in God and use the alien to promote the foolishness of evolution instead of creation and even though most professing Christians are foolish to think we're the only life God created out there when he in fact did create other life out there, this is still a foolish movie because even the aliens know about the omnipresent God of the universe.

  • Paul (DVD, 2011)

I would recommend this film if you had nothing else to do. It was surely better than many other movies, but not the kind of film you would stay up late or lose sleep to see. Paul is a humanoid alien life form that crashed on Earth sixty years ago. Since then, he has realized that he wasn't an honored guest, but a captive. Now, having shared all of the information he possesses, the "agency" has decided to "autopsy" him. Finally, one night he is able to make his escape and try to get to a rendevous point and be picked up by his kind, but instead has a wreck with two British "Treckie" type nerds who are on their dream vacation of all UFO and Si-Fi convention sights. They pick him up and begin their "Grand Adventure" of trying to help him get home. This movie has a couple of really stupid ...

  • Great

Somehow if I were truly an alien from a more advanced civilizations, the Earth would be the last place I would want to visit because although benevolent as portrayed in movies such E.T., the Day the Earth Stood Still, Close Encounter of the Third Kind, and Paul our government without any legitimate reason is presented as doing its best to destroy them or dissect them for scientific purposes. On the other hand the aliens that are or will be here sooner or later to destroy us! Paul is unique because it has been used by the government to the fullest extent and the next step is to destroy him. Before that happens though, he manages to escape and teach us some lessons about our religious fanaticism, loyalty, enjoying life, and performing what we consider miracles until we reach the unexpected ...

  • Fun!

Fun... I am not a fan of cursing but in this movie it was not used out of anger or a need to hurt and belittle or even just be ugly. I loved all the characters and was thoroughly entertained.
