Seller Notes: “Nice example of the 10 Peso 1944 'VICTORY' note issued for the Philippine Commonwealth as the ... “Nice example of the 10 Peso 1944 'VICTORY' note issued for the Philippine Commonwealth as the United States and the Filipinos fought to take control of the islands back from the Japanese during WWII. This note was printed by the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing. With a portrait of George Washington at left and a blue seal at right with both names Commonwealth of the Philippines and United States of America. 'Victory Series No. 66' replaces the date on the obverse of the note in two place, the reverse is brown with denomination and 'VICTORY' overprint at center in large letters. Note is still quite crisp with several lighter vertical folds and general handling/wrinkling along with a few corner folds. Solid original paper with no tears, no splits, no pinholes, just some light soiling and edge/corner wear though corners are still fairly sharp. Strong clear ink and color, blue and red threads present in paper. Please review all photos to determine condition for yourself.”
