When I got it, I though it was a refurb, and well, it's a bit twitchy. I think I will do a swap with ASUS directly for another board, but it works well once you tailor the settings to your rig's demands. The M.2 slot will not work with stock bios so you have to update the bios by downloading them from the website. Overall, it's not a bad board, and it's ability to handle heat is better than a Sabertooth z97 board.

This would have to be the best Z97 motherboard on the market. Only downside is the M.2 socket does not have enough PCI express lanes to offer full speed from an M.2 SSD. This was due to ASUS having to decide to allocate these lanes to the extra PCI express slot for another GPU, etc. However they offer a PCI express M.2 card that solves this problem

Great board, fully featured, x4 options for high speed networking, Bluetooth built in, plus loads of other features. All digital display out, cooling measures work well, though the southbridge heatsink gets pretty toasty =D
