When a product is advertised as "NEW" it should be in that condition when received. This product came, not in the original package but in a Ziploc type small bag. There is no way of telling if this is an actual "Firestick" spring or another knock-off or whether this "NEW" product has been previously used. I use "Firestick" products as they are well made and have a proven history. Very disappointed. Seller did offer to replace item after return however.

We explained to the buyer that we deal directly with Firestik and they sometimes provide stock packaged and sometimes provide it in bulk. The product that was sent to this customer was a brand new genuine Firestik antenna spring. Despite this, we did offer to accept a return with a refund for this purchase.

    Just Awesome!

    This detector is sweet! If your thinking about buying it think no more! Buy it! It's got great range and with the filters it hardly ever goes off on interstate driving. Unless a cop is shooting radar. I've picked them up a couple miles away with hills and they were shooting the oncoming traffic!!! It's great can't say enough about it. They do make a 9 that has more features so I'm looking at it next.

    Get them b4 there gone

    Gps lockouts are great,when you drive the same places a lot. It will never go off at your local drug store again, Good filters for the newer cars with blind spot and other things.A lot less false K band when in heavy traffic, You can set a speed limit like less than 25 mph and it won`t go off at all when you are going under 25,good for when your going through a parking lot,like at the mall. And can get at a good price since the newer models have come out.(Up date) Finally just had to turn off K band,to many things using K band now.

    If you can still find this model for sale, buy it, still a great product for the price.

    Even though the DFR7 is discontinued and a couple of years out of date, its tech is still completely current and very usable for the average (speedy) driver. I was surprised how much advanced warning its sensitivity gives me, while filtering out a lot of the clutter. Also being able to "mark" the known false alarm areas, via the GPS, is golden. Buying this from the US at $260 CDN delivered, saved me around $200, over what they were selling for in Canada. I've owned several brands of RD's, starting with an Escort model #1 in the late 70's, and for the budget minded, the DFR7 can't be beat.

    Very nice radar detector

    This is a very nice radar detector. The problem is is still detects other radars in trucks and other cars but as far as detecting State patrol you cannot ask for anything better is deftly long-range I know there's a state patrol there long before I get there... It would work well with a scanner that's for sure unable to use it in congested areas but a highway use there's nothing better...
