The game is pretty much like the original Metropolismania. There are some differences in how to make the roads, add people to your town and all that. If you are used to the original, the new control features will frustrate you at first. You get more businesses to choose from and some of them just invite themselves. You don't have the annoying phone ringing telling you that you have people that want to move into your town, you now have email and a cell phone to talk to people (when interacting with the guy that likes to tell jokes, you use a cell phone just like you are texting someone). The layout of the town phonebook takes some getting used to, but it is easier, I think, to find people. The places/families are color coded in the phone book and listed in a list order, not in an index order which makes it much easier to find people without having to flip back through pages. I don't like how the character you create moves SOOOOOO slowly, even at 100% strength. Placing roads is more difficult too. Overall the game isn't too bad, I just prefer the original version much better. It is harder to find businesses to move into your town if they aren't already in your phone book of friends.Read full review

This game is uber addictive!! and fun!! You start off by building roads, move in residents, make friends, attend to their needs. It reminds me of the game: the sims. Although this game is alot funner
I'm sure it's a great game but I couldn't get it to play because it is a blue disc. Some playstation2's have problems with blue disc's which I was unaware of at the time. You should check your playstation before purchasing this game.
