About this product

Product Information

EA Sports brings its soccer franchise back to the Wii for a second season, this time as part of the company's "All-Play" series of family friendly games. Much like FIFA Soccer 08's "Family Play" feature, FIFA Soccer 09: All-Play offers gamers a simplified control scheme that allows for one-button shooting, passing, free kicks, and rebounds. Seasoned pros, however, can still use the advanced controls and new precision passing system for greater command over the more than 500 licensed teams available.

Simulation fans can participate in classic 11-on-11 matches or take over the financial aspects of a club in Manager mode, while the new eight-on-eight "Footii Match" mode offers a faster-paced, arcade-style game that lets players compete using their own Mii characters. Two holdover party games have been enhanced as well, with the foosball-esque Table Football offering enhanced soccer balls, while Boot It lets up to four players control soccer stars such as Ronaldinho and Wayne Rooney in a rapid-fire shootout. Gamers looking for further competition can also head online for one-on-one matches.

  • Fifa Fun for the whole Family

Well were to begin with this new installment of the Fifa series. First of all it cannot be compared to its siblings of the 09 series, since this game is in its own category. It has basically the same foundation as the other 09 games available for the Ps3 and Xbox360. It is that it has a different look and style to everything. Basically, its the same. What I like the most is that it has a uniqueness that the whole family can enjoy. Menu(09/10) I love the menu of this 09 game. It is so fun to use. It looks amazing and easy to use. A five year old could easily find anything with this menu. Although it does not have that cool look it had from the previous fifa games, it is still quite cool. What I mean is that the previous games had a cool intro with an awesome song and scenes. This one ...

  • FIFA Soccer 2009 - Wii - review

This version of FIFA soccer very fun for all. The all-play feature adds an additional fun factor to the games experience, especially to those playing who are not too sure of how to play the game or many alike. The graphics, quality of screen views, and accuracy of players, stats, etc. are very realistic. This game is right there with the feel of the game. You are made to feel as though you are right there in the middle of the action, especially behind the scenes as you are given the same options and powers as the GMs, owners, and team board of directors are given and faced with. Not quite sure of what exactly (if any) I disliked about this game. Lots of fun, that's for sure. Purchased as a gift for someone else, but after opening it and playing it, I decided to simply keep it for myself ...

  • Great gameplay, lacks some basic features

I love the gameplay of Fifa09 for Wii, especially when on advanced controls. You can play in any league with any team, or just play in "kickoff" mode for a quick game with friends. Manager mode is quite fun, as you can control a team's tactics, scouting, and transfers for up to 15 seasons. Or you can switch to a different team between seasons. You can play as many games as you like in manager mode and tournament mode and simulate the games you don't want to play. The only drawback I noticed was the lack of some basic features like PK shootout or free kick practice games. Even World Cup 98 for N64 had these features. There is a little training game where you sort of get to practice some of these things, but you can't play against another person. 8v8 Footie party is a fun alternative ...

  • Best of FIFA franchise on Wii

Surely the best effort from EA Sports FIFA team on Wii. Very nice gameplay, with three option, my preferred is the advance. Point and click to pass make the game feels like Pro Evolution Soccer and works great. Graphics are realistic and beautiful for the console. Includes Manager Mode and a bunch of minigames. 8vs.8 and table football are really fun. Soundtrack is fantastic.
