I was able to fix mine, but not everyone is a techy person
I wasn't expecting mine to work when I first got them. I bought two: one for my Game Boy Pocket, Color, Advance, etc. and another one to modify it to fit in my DMG. when they both arrived, they both worked when I first tested them on my Game Boy Color, but they both felt limp at the connector and one would cut out if it went too far. I added hot glue to the working one to stabilize it, and the other I removed the port and added one from a link cable I had for my DMG. Now they both work, and I'm satisfied with them, but if you don't know soldering or things like I do, you might not be as pleased if yours have issues like mine did. It occurs to me that the reason why they felt limp is because you have to rotate the connector 180 degrees if you want to use this on a Game Boy Advance, ...
