Great book!
I love all the Sears' books! What grounded, well-rounded, gentle and thorough information. I love how the Sears' love babies and share personal experience and obviously love being parents to their own many children. Also helpful how it goes one month at a time, and their childbirth information is really good. The only thing that I don't like (drives me crazy, actually! lol) is that they list your weeks of pregnancy as the actual number of weeks you have been pregnant, which works out to be two weeks behind the date your midwife/doctor gives you. So when you read it, you have to subtract two weeks to figure out where you are!I love all the Sears' books! What grounded, well-rounded, gentle and thorough information. Any book but Dr. Sears is a winner.
Every book I've read from Dr. Sears I've always thoroughly enjoyed. This book is no exception to that rule. What I love is the natural approach Dr. Sears takes which is much like my own approach to pregnancy. Unlike other pregnancy books (What to Expect comes to mind) the book approches pregnancy not as a scary journey filled with problems/issues...but as a wonderful natural time in a woman's life. Also check out the Birth Book...excellent book.Every book I've read from Dr. Sears I've always thoroughly enjoyed. This book is no exception to that rule. What I love is the natural approach Dr. Sears takes which is much like my own approach to pregnancy. The Pregnancy book
My best friend turned me on to Willam Sears, first I read his nutrition book. Then later that year when i found out i was pregnate I recieved his Baby book. I loved that so much, I purchase the breastfeeding book, birth book and the pregnancy book and the disipline book. Now my daughters 2, and I found my self expecting again, and the pregnancy book was now where to be found. So I had to buy a new copy! :) Love this couple, love this collection! Good Book
i like this book, cause it has like a Q and A format. i wish it had better and more pictures though. I also think its a little outdated on some of the facts, like twin births and other procedures. Overall its a good book, but I think its better to get a newer book
