Beautiful Book Set
The Raggedy Ann and Andy Grow and Learn Library is out of print and hard to find. For me, this well-made set is an important piece in my children's literature library. I kept a set of the Raggedy Ann and Andy Learn and Grow Library on my classroom shelf when I taught first and second grades, many years ago. The content material is geared toward the age of an early independent reader, but these books can be read to a younger child and then the content can be discussed and clarified. Topics mostly deal with children's social issues, like making and keeping friends, family dynamics, understanding others, moving, changes, etc. But the text is really too long (too many words on each page, too many pages)to hold the interest of most little pre-schoolers. But it can be paraphrased and the ... The Raggedy Ann and Andy Grow and Learn Library is out of print and hard to find. I purchased the library because I am planning a "unisex" nursery in a Raggedy Ann & Andy theme because we won't find out the sex of the baby until the birth. I wanted Raggedy Ann & Andy books to put on the shelves. The books are precious. They have the sweetest stories with wonderful morals, from friends moving away to sharing, and will take the baby through the toddler and even early elementary years. They no longer make these books and I'm thrilled to have the full set.
