Melodies, Harmonies, and Actual Talent!
The Corrs are the most under-appreciated, under-rated musical group on the scene today. "Home" by the Corrs is a brave undertaking in an age of groups who just follow the trends. No trend-following here - just good ol' listenable music that you will want to play again and again. This album is just the thing for someone who enjoys actual musicianship and vocal ability. My personal favorites are the two songs sung in Gaelic(?), "Buachaill On Eirne" and "Brid Og Ni Mhaille." The words are translated into English in the album booklet, but you can tell what the songs are about through the emotion in the voices. This is a great CD. I bought it specifically for the St Patrick holiday, but I've left it in the CD player to rotate through because it is so enjoyable. The Corrs are an extremely talented group and the blending of their voices are so pleasant to the ear. It must be the sibling effect. Their interpretation of these songs makes this a CD definitely worth buying!
