A great Chinese learning book!
I like the book because it teaches you mandarin and pinyin. It also teaches you the strokes and how to write in Chinese. I decided to buy it because I was going to take Elementary Chinese in college but had to change my class so now I'm not taking it. I go over the book every once in a while to learn more. Since I have the book, I'm going to take Elementary Chinese next semester.

I ordered this bk because I'm taking a language class, and a friend of mine mentioned some tips in this bk about how to open and make salutations in a letter..Ialso found out why the tonal marks on Pinyin are placed the way they are...great.. and very good reading ..thanks.. chris
