      Great USA History

      This is my second time reading this book. Great in site into our nation's history, with little known facts and things you didn't learn in school. I've given this book to other people too and used it in teaching sometimes. It's an older book but still very current. It's amazing how things never change, we never learn as a nation. One of my favorite all time books of History.

      Excellent Resource About America's Christian Heritage

      I am a preacher and amateur historian. I bought the book to use as a resource for a sermon series on our country's Christian heritage, which political correctness and court decisions have all but obliterated from public school history and government courses. The book is a classic of the genre and is worthy of its reputation.       wonderful, inspiring book

      this book is remarkable, it wonderfully shows the hand of divine providence in the founding of America and how so many of those who led to the discovery and building of America were inspired by God, loved the authors' research and attribution of their sources, there is abundant citing journals and letters of the principle characters of the book, this is much better than just reading the opinion of contemporary comentator, although I did like the way the authors rendered modern application of the principles that the subjects of the book lived by; this book renews my hope that America can be preserved and that God isn't through with us yet, especially if enough of we Americans remain faithful and humble with reliance on God to shine his grace upon us for the good of all the world.

      Best History Book Written from Christian Perspective

      I thought I knew the history of my country, but it was not until I read The Light and the Glory , that I became educated. I read this book 20 years ago, and still remember the powerful lessons our forefathers learned. When I moved a few years ago, I lost that book and looked in secular as well as in Christian book stores to find a copy . Recently, as I browsed Ebay, having no idea I would find it, i could not believe when I saw a brand new copy of it glaring me in the face. I am pleased to have it back in my library. I recommend it wholeheartedly. It is the best history book I have ever read.

      Uncovers the Hidden Dimension of History

      This famous book reveals early US History through a biblical filter. Thus, it is one of the most fascinating books you'll ever read, as it reveals the hidden "why" of history. My only regrets are that 1) Every US schoolkid can't read it, and 2) The authors weren't able to finish the whole series. Learn America's very very special history: you'll never see this interpretation in a college. Yes, enjoy the Americanized "First Chronicles".
