Product Information
Engage in near-future battles for survival, power, and control in World War III: Black Gold, a 3D RTS running on a modified version of the Earth 2150 game engine and brought to the U.S. by prolific international publishers JoWooD Productions. As is hinted in the subtitle, it is an overwhelming demand for a dwindling supply of fossil fuels that leads the countries of the world to the third Great War. The United Nations resolves to handle the energy crisis by commandeering the small reserves of crude oil that are left, but OPEC retaliates as they see foreign interests attempting to take control of their most valuable natural resources. Battles take place among superpowers and smaller nations in strategic positions, including the United States, Russia, and Iraq.
