    It's super useful to have this info in connection with more modern books discussing modernized programming systems & options.

    This is a 1997 book, so computer, WiFi, cell phone power access & use options aren't key aspects of this book, BUT with the basis of electronics for lighting it's super useful to have this information in connection with more modern books. The SAFETY information corresponding to power setups and uses is as applicable now, using information about amps, volts, watts, and ohms means even with LED and other light types the information is applicable and useful.

    my most valuable practical reference

    This nuts and bolts title - in any printing - is the most often used book in my library for practical lighting techniques on a film or television set. It's not often that a book so accurately reflects the actual needs of it's intended audience. I also find that it's my first choice to share with the serious junior technicians as well.
