With the experiences I have had with this particular type of headphone, I've had a great time with them. The sound quality is amazing and the clarity is perfect. Nothing can beat these beats. I would choose black just because they don't show as much dirt as white ones do. The shipping was a little slow but hopefully I will receive the product soon. Other than that, a great product. Thanks so much!

... the fact that they need to be turned on for you to use them defeats the purpose of them being headphones. I appreciate the fact that they block out sound (to a certain extent), but if I simply want to use them on my xbox one or anything else, I need to turn them on. So, if the battery dies out (or in the future once the battery drained after a few minutes), then these will become useless. Once plugged in and recharging, you cannot listen to anything, unless you don't mind hearing a droning sound. So in point form: PROS + Great sound + Comfortable (actually fits on my smaller head, unlike many other headphones) + Blocks out sound CONS - Needs to be turned on if you use them, no possibility of listening to them if they're turned off - You cannot listen when recharging (via usb), unless you don't mind a droning sound. - Poor material quality, to the point that they break easily.Read full review

Let me start by saying that these are an "OPEN EAR" headphone and if your not sure what that means you should go do your homework. People around you will hear your music and they should as again these are an open ear headphone. I am a headphone fanatic, owning everything from Bose QC's to Sennheiser HD's and many others in between, and there's a style of music or sound that is best for each of them. These Dr. Dre studio's are the cats meow when it comes to heavy base type music, like rap, techno, dance, ect.. you get my point. Yes they require 2 AAA batteries to function and that could cause a problem for some if the batteries go dead say on a long plane flight, as were most of the others don't require batteries. But the batteries serve a purpose and with out them they could not deliver the awesome base response that I have found only Dr. Dre studio's to have. The built in mic on the jack cord is great for them interrupting phone calls and the right ear has a built in mute button for them times you want to hear someone or thing with out taking them off or turning down the volume. The construction of them is of good quality for a folding type of headphone. Like anything it's as good as you care for it. The only real issue I have is I would like to see a little bigger cup on them as after a few hours of use they start to hurt my ears a little and I would say I have average size ears so if you have some big Dumbo ears or wear large ear rings you might want to try a set on first. (I'm only saying) All in all these a great par of headphones if used with the right types of music. Yes there are better ones out there for the everyday listen to all types of music people. But if your looking for pure sounding base at all levels of volume then look no further then the Studio's by Dr. Dre P.S. nothing is ever 5 stars but these are close.Read full review
The Beats by Dre Studios are priced right between the Solos and the Pros. While all three do a good job at blocking out ambient noise, the Studios are the only one that employs active noise-cancelling technology (2 AA batteries required). You don’t have to be too concerned about battery life as the Studios will run for a long time without replacement. Both the Studios and Pros are over-the-ear headphones and tend to be more comfortable than the Solos, which are smaller and on-the-ear cans. When choosing between the Solos, Studios, and Pros, the main factor should be price, style, and comfort as the sound quality of Beats in general is not quite on par with similarly price audiophile-grade or music-production headphones (e.g. Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic, AKG). The Studios and Pros have a significantly better sound stage than the Solos, but are still somewhat overpriced compared to the competition. The sound quality of the Studios is very comparable to the Bose QuietComfort series. The most noticeable difference between the two is that the Studios have a stronger bass signature, while the Bose has more defined treble/highs. Predictably, the Studios sound best when listening to hip hop or other bass-heavy music – if you listen to a lot of electronic music and are only looking for noise-cancelling headphones, than I would opt for the Bose. One of the main drawbacks to the Studios (and Solos) is the overall build-quality of the headphones as the main material is plastic and it is very easy to snap the headband. The locking mechanism that is used to fold them for storage is rather poorly designed and there is a chance that this can wear down over time. The risk of both of these issues is considerably increased if they are counterfeit or grey market so be extra careful who you buy them from and try to get a receipt or documentation if possible. In conclusion, if you have your heart set on Beats then the Studios are a pretty good choice since they come in a variety of colors and offer noise-cancelling technology, which makes them ideal for travel and portable use. If you are pretty rough on your headphones and can afford to buy Pros, I would highly recommend doing so as they’re more rugged and durable. If by any means you are open to manufacturers other than Beats, I would suggest checking out some other brands, such as Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic, AKG, Denon, and Audio-Technica, which all offer a number of different choices depending on the overall sound that you prefer.Read full review
It is very possible the manufacturer, Apple, does not take into account the factors effecting battery life. It is listed as being 12 hours but, I suspect, increased volumes may greatly reduce that. I've seen these die out at 5 hours of sem-continuous use. When one wants to block out external noise and enjoy the music to the hilt, the cost of that is constant, twice daily recharging. Otherwise, I'm very happy with this product as provided by the seller.

Purchased a used "Demo" pair of beats a few weeks ago. I lost a pair of Bose wireless and these were meant to replace them. The Bose wireless would tell me the devices they were connected to when I turned them on but the Beats do not. That was a feature I really liked! They would also tell me the battery % and they would announce the name or phone number of who was calling if I received a call while listening to something else. The Beats have an incredible sound! The bass is full and the mid and high tones are clear and crisp! They fit comfortably over my ears although I have an XL head (7 5/8" dia.) I can wear them for extended periods as long as I don't sweat. I play golf a lot and they won't work on the course or the range if the temp is too high. I don't recommend them for work outs either.Read full review

This headphones are nice design but uncomfortable that only work if you turn on the sound suppressor, sometimes you don't need that feature but on this particular model there is no option to don't use, so if you run out of battery, that is it, no sound in the day, until you get new batteries. as there is no battery level indicator you can be out of sound on a long air trip. The quality of the sound is not was I am used with the rest of the Beats headphones. Not worth the extra money that this executive noise cancelling model cost me.

fantastic sound! You simply can not beat the quality of the sound that is produced from these headphones, plus if you have these connected to your smartphone you can still answer your phone when you are listening to music or watching a movie. Now if you have an android or any other type of smart phone except an Apple product here are the function buttons that control the stop / start (call / - call), and the volume up and down along with the microphone, using an iPhones and iPads and the same controls you have the same features plus fast foward and rewind. I know fellow Andoid users, favoritism was shown when the headphones were designed. So either like it or get a iPhone or iPad if you feel you want the extra features. I can not express how much these headphones have changed my life! I have some hearing loss from being in combat while in the military and with these, I am able to hear everything crystal clear again. Beautiful sound. Just as if you were there!Read full review
First of all, these came very fast. I opened up the box and everything was intact. You get everything that was presented in the picture. Despite this I believe that these headphones are knock offs albeit very GOOD knock offs. I looked up videos and went on the beats site and these do not register to anything. However despite this, this does not defer my opinion about them. These sound BEAUTIFUL. And who cares if these might not be the real thing these sound superb. The price is a steal. These feel very high quality and the padding for the ear cups are so soft and squishy. I couldn't stop pressing them. These sound crystal. Nothing seems to be out of place. All in all I really like it! Not disappointed in the least.

I won't deny they sound good. Good, not GREAT. Find a pair of Sonys, even Audio-Technica or Sennheiser at the same price. Wow! Now you have some awesome headphones! Consider a $299.00 pair of nice professional grade headphones. Now add licensing fees to advertise these with "Beats", "Dr. Dre", and "Monster Cable" logos and "brand reputations" on them. Now look at said "endorsed" headphones selling for $299.00. They look and feel kinda ...cheap! Especially side by side with all the other brands at that price! They had to cut corners to carry those trade marks. Don't fall for it. Never mind the fact that I tried a pair out, thought they were solid, but lacked SOMETHING. Then I turned my head and I LOST THE RIGHT CHANNEL. Turned back and it was back. Plugged them into my workstation keyboard and lost the right channel again for a second, the "Monster Cables" already had a short where the angel hair gauge wires are moulded to the plug. (Remember when we could fix that with some solder, and how much force it took to break that connection on a set of "real" phones to begin with?) Yes, copper has gotten EXPENSIVE, but I thought "Monster Cables" had some substance to them. Really annoyed they would throw their reputation away and put this crap out there, but...Integrity is a thing of the past apparently. Pretty sure if Dr. Dre handed Eminem a set of these in the studio, they would laugh, set them aside, put the "real" gear on and get some work done. If you find a set that has decent gauge wires, you might be OK for awhile, but who has the time and money to waste? Get off your butt and go to a Radio Shack or other store that offers a variety of headphones to try-before-you-buy. Talk to professionals and friends. READ THE SPECIFICATIONS. What's the ratings of SENSITIVITY, MAXIMUM OUTPUT, and if the FREQUENCY RESPONSE can't begin lower than the "Standard Hi-Fi" definition of 20hz and go higher than the standard 20,000hz, I hope you didn't spend more than $20 on them. Remember, audio quality is increasing. We aren't stuck with 16-bit 41,000 Compact DISCS ANYMORE! (A new format that uses much higher sampling rates is hitting the market, in hopes people will buy CDs again, I suppose) So if you're serious about sound quality and clarity, get the best gear you can afford, especially if you are really using them in a studio situation. If you'fe going for a jog with your MP3 player, that's a different story. One more thing. Would you use a q-tip after someone else had used it? OK, then from now on if you are HAPPY with the sound quality of ear buds enough to use them, CLASSIFY them as a "PERSONAL" item and don't share them. You are just asking for or helping spread possible ear infections. SURPRISE!! Ear Buds are another little "marketing trend" that companies are exploiting consumers with. Consider there's no cost for a headband-like assembly to connect the right and left "buds" or anything else to raise manufacturing costs, like foam ear pads, etc. Just the ear buds on the wire connected to a plug. Now try not to get angry when you see the price of these sets of ear wax collectors cost the same or even more than lightweight standard headband or behind-the-neck style headphones. For under $30 most sets offer more low end and output power WITHOUT the chance of shoving foreign debris into your ear when you didn't wipe off the "Trendy-Buds" when they fell out-(again!) SKIP "Beats-Dre" Headphones!U deserve better!Read full review
