Product Information

Gamers return to the tropical archipelago of Banoi for more intense co-op zombie combat and open-world exploration in Dead Island Riptide. The four survivors from the original game -- washed-up rapper Sam B, hotel receptionist and Chinese spy Xian, former football player Logan, and Australian bodyguard Purna -- thought their nightmare was over when a helicopter took them to a nearby military ship. But a massive storm and another viral outbreak leave the quartet marooned once again, this time joined by Navy cook John Morgan on the fictional island of Palanai.<br><br>As in the original game, users can take control of any of the playable characters, guide them through open environments, and gain experience points by completing missions and engaging in bloody combat with hordes of zombies. Melee weapons like axes, machetes, and clubs remain the primary means of defense in Riptide, but a variety of guns are also available and are particularly useful for the new hub missions, in which survivors protect a base from waves of zombie attackers. Multiplayer remains central to the Dead Island experience, with the main campaign letting up to four gamers drop in or out of co-op action at any time.

    A great follow up to the original.

    I loved the original. But Riptide improved on it big time. It kept what was great about the original and improved in other areas. Still finding people to play with online after so many years since its released.

    Bugs not zombies kill this game as the Bugs and Glitches ruin this game!!

    This game really could have been called Dead Island 2.0 because the graphics and glitches from the first game were not improved. The story wasn't much and the early price tag of $50.00 should have indicated that this game would be half-assed. Just like the first game, lot of zombie killing, very addicting and fun to play with friends. There are many issues!! The zombies seem endless, and the continual respawning of zombies and just seem like a grind going from all the quests. It seems that you just back track going back and forth over and over. The game glitches a lot!! It would be forgivable but when the game freezes sometimes it can corrupt a game save. I personally lost a character save 3 different times. The game adds a new character and he is a brawler basically, he has a ...

    a good all round zombie slaying game

    I thought the game was very good, i don't know how some people say its glitchy and full of bugs, i had no problems with that at all, maybe they made a fix for it before i played it, i love killing zombies and mowing them down with cars and boats, some of the side quests are tedious but the main story is very good and its much better fun if you play the game online with friends

    VACATION ISLAND

    I loved the first Dead Island and Riptide is awesome! More zombies and higher difficulty. Online co-op play is great and trading weapons/items is fun. The graphics are a little better and a new hero was added (hint: he's like Wolverine). Overall a good buy - cheap and fun. I suggest this game.
