pros: can be used with any circuit that isnt gfci protected that's tied into the main breaker/fuse panel cons: didn't work with the gfci outlet on the outside of the house i ran a 100 foot extension cord to a storage container i converted into a workshop, worked perfect and signal was excellent, only downside was i couldn't use a gfci outlet, had to be powered from a normal outlet from the inside of the house Great product that i would buy again when/if needed

These units would not 'pair' correctly unless they were in the same room or an adjacent room. I spent most of an afternoon setting and resetting and re-pairing a set of 4 of these with no success. I have 4 similar units by the same manufacturer, but older, slower models that pair correctly with each other even when at least two are located at the farthest end of the house, some 75-80 feet away and a floor below. I use them to connect a remote wireless access point, and two devices on our Tesla electrical system to my internet router and the newer ones would not connect to each other, whereas the older ones did with no problem. I cannot explain this behavior.

Easy to install, but not fully compatible with other, older Netgear units. So much for the "powerline standard".

Was having internet problems with a computer in the basement of a 3 floor home. Was only getting 9.5 Mbps on the download, and about 10 on the upload, with a brand new fast computer. Replaced with this and am getting 39.1 Mbps download and 15.2 Mbps upload. No, it's not as fast as the computer upstairs that's hardwired to the router, but it works well enough. Very easy to install and no issues in 3 years.

This TP-Link powerline adapter was simple to set up and performs well! No more spotty WiFi problems for our home. I have purchased two sets of these now and adding more units to my existing power line system was extremely simple.

Everything you need to know about this product can be summed up in a few words: It comes with Cat5 cables (not 5e, not 6). Cat5 is rated for 100mbps. You're not going to see anywhere near the 1000Mbps advertised, ever. I will be returning and looking for a more robust solution.

Plug it in, pair it, connect it. Drops speed over distance but still enough for streaming or anything else.

Honestly works better then expected.. Reviews seem to be good/bad and seem to depend on the distance you have them and the homes wiring. I have a 1300 SF house and have one in my living room and the other connected to my router directly in room above. I get about 100-120 Mbps hard wired on my xbox 1. With this tested it about 3-4 times and average about 90Mbps little less then hard wire but the stable connection holds up with online gaming!!!

It really works and I no longer have buffering on my TV sets using a firestick. My house is almost 4k sq feet in living area. this product did the trick.
