I like this movie because Mike Myers has become one of my favorite male actors, and he does a very nice job of portraying a typical sex symbol from the sixites- but one who the audience can still love anyway. I also think that the director[s]/producer[s] did a great job of bringing the fashions and 'love-not-hate' way of life back into the eyes of viewers of 1) who grew-up during that time and 2) to those who are seeing it for the first time. After buying the first Austin Powers, there was now way that I would miss out on the next two. It's a fun-family movie that should be part of one's movie collection.
The spy who shagged me is the sequel to Austin Powers/international man of mystery. Mike Myers continues his spoofs as the international spy. There are certain flaws, like his wife having been a fembot all along, and the fact that his "new" set of teeth from the 1st episode, have returned to their rancid self... Still, Dr. Evil and mini Me make up for that, even though some of the material is rehashed, this sequel is truly funny and has its fun & sweet moments as the bungling nerd spy exposes his human/tender side. Its a good film to see with a date or with the family. I recommend buying the first two of this series / unfortunately like most tri-quells his 3rd release "Goldmember" was simply nonsense and an utter failure, and seemed to be rushed by the writers.
Mike Myers is terrific in this second outing of the Austin Powers franchise. All the supporting characters are back and in fine form.Heather Graham is a nice addition as Austin's new love interest, though I did like Elizabeth Hurley better in the first one. This one's got a lot of laughs and even though it's not quite as funny as the original,it still has hilarious moments and is worth buying if you're an Austin Powers fan.
This is Austin at his shagadelic best. International Man of Mystery, the first Austin Powers movie, is great but the characters are not as polished as in The Spy Who Shagged Me. The whole film is more at ease with itself and incredibly funny. The tent scene would be my favorite if I had to pick, followed by the party assassination attempt against Austin. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the stool sample too - classic Austin Powers and one of the most endearingly funny movies ever. Enjoy.

I have seen this movie before.Love it.Own it on VHS and wanted to get it on DVD,and found it cheap.I like this sequel better than the origional, which does not happen alot. Not to say that the first movie was bad,it was hilarious. If you liked the first Austin Powers movie, you will probably love this one.Funnier than the first and way,way better than Goldmember(which I did not care for).If you like what alot of people call "dumb humor",check this one out.
