About this product

Product Information

Begin enjoying a multitude of useful features and gadgets with the help of the Dell OptiPlex 330 LGA motherboard. This 775/socket-compatible digital wonder provides you with a number of options that can help to maximize desktop productivity. OptiPlex brand motherboards are custom made to house many of Intel's wide family of processors. The OptiPlex 330 makes use of a Land-Grid Array style of sockets. These LGA sockets provide 775 land connectors, which provide a flat surface for the contact pins on the motherboard that's more resistant to damage. In addition, Land-Grid Array connections make use of Zero Insertion Force (ZIF) lever designs. These designs make it even easier for you to install your CPU of choice without having to worry about expensive mistakes. The Dell 775 supports the Intel Pentium, Intel Celeron, and Intel Core Duo families of central processing units. Now you'll have the freedom to select the CPU that best matches your needs and capabilities. This motherboard supports processors of varying speeds, including 800 MHz and 1066 MHz. In addition, it promotes the use of up to 6 megabytes of L2 cache memory. In the memory department, the Dell OptiPlex desktop computer system board is more than capable. The LGA775 harbors two RAM bays. This allows for the inclusion of Double Data Rate 2 (DDR2) memory. That allows you to choose between at least two DDR2 speeds, including 667 MHz and 800 MHz. If you use a Windows operating system that requires a 32-bit bus, you'll have access to 3GB of RAM. If you're a fan of more modern 64-bit machines, you'll be able to upgrade that to 4GB. This is possible because each memory slot is capable of holding a 2GB DIMM. This quantity easily enables you to deal with a wide variety of programs. The Dell 330 LGA also offers the ability to house a solid number of internal drives. You'll be able to install no less than four Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA) internal drives. Plus, you're provided with space for two Integrated Drive Electronics (IDE) drives, each with 40 pins. By using a hybrid IDE-SATA power source, you'll have the freedom to install a SATA hard and an IDE optical drive. This combination prepares you to deal with a wide variety of storage media. To make things even better, you'll even be able to include at least one floppy drive if you're so inclined. The Dell OptiPlex desktop system board includes graphics capability courtesy of the Intel G31 chipset. It comes with a 16x PCI expansion bay just in case you prefer to install your own graphics card. If not, the native Graphics Media Accelerator 3100 provides access to ActiveX 9.0xc. In addition, you'll have the ability to view 3D content with the OptiPlex desktop motherboard. The Dell OptiPlex 775 has robust backward compatibility features. These include VGA, parallel ports, PS/2 connections, RJ45 Ethernet, and up to six USB bays. You'll also be able to enjoy your favorite music or record your own with the line in/out audio connections.

    Cheap mobo is good mobo

Pros: Cheap, exact factor replacement. Cons: Older revision a01 instead of a02 or above. Other: actually had a newer bois version. didn't have to update it to slap in a faster core 2 CPU. That saved me from having to swap CPUs a few times.

  • Older replacement board

This worked great for me in replacing an older Dell desktop board. Not the fastest thing in the world but it works well for someone that wants to replace an old, worn out dell mo/bo. Be aware; you cannot upgrade it to Windows 10. Windows 7 is as far as you can get with this board and you still must find video drivers because of age. Otherwise; good board.

  • dell pc update

Replaced my optiplex 320 motherboard with the 330 and everything went great. It needed a power switch/usb assembly for the 330(it requires a longer cable) but I happened to have one from a previous upgrade so I didn't loose any time having to order one

  • Board performs perfectly

Replaced for a customer a non functioning board in this Optiplex after system after about 10 years of service. The new board works as it should without problems. Price was reasonable and was delivered quickly. Can't ask for more than that.

  • I am back up and running

I shoved a bad card into my old MoBo and fried it. This set me right back up.
