    An Ideal Channel Of Connection With The World.

    For black and white (monochrome) photography I have long favoured the large format range of optics from Nikkor. There is a subtle crispness that imparts a well managed modicum of snap. In 35mm photography the combination of the 35 & 90 fields of view has become something of an ethos. Reflecting that notion in 4x5 falls best for my purposes on the 135mm and 180 mm focal lengths coalescing as a 'standard' lens. For years I favoured the 120mm as the shorter end of the pairing, but I find new delights in the 135mm on every outing and the size, weight and acuity of the Nikkor-W is as perfect a match for my eye and my intent as I have been able to find.

    Great small lens for 4x5 format.

    I make large format pictures on film and wet plate in size 4x5. 135mm is every so slightly wide focal length for 4x5. I have had very good experience with other Nikkor lenses in copal shutter. I have two of these, one mounted for my Crown Graphic and one on a Linhoff board. The Nikkor lenses are fairly sharp wide open which is important for wet plate. This lens is small enought to remain mounted when I fold my Crown Graphic or my Wista Field 4x5.

    Great Nikon Quality

    It’s solid and sharp. I have used these lenses for many years and they are solidly built and always sharp. This lens is being used on a Toyo 4x5 field camera.

    Nikon large format lenses are very sharpest in the world. It is very good ballance price and quality of the picture. This lens very good working with digital back Leaf Aptus 65. Picture quality much better Rodenstock 150 mm 5,6 MC
