    It's a trade off, space vs. performance... Noticeably slower than an SSD, but for the price, great space. And its not terribly slow, just two different technologies. Due to project requirements, I had to get a 1TB drive. So far no issues, have confidence as HGST is a division of WD. So bought 8 more for my server upgrade.

    HDD 7200 rpm

    The drive does not work as shipped. Although it was recognized, it could not be written on reliably using Macrium no anything else. The OS was asking to reformat, something that I could not do. Before returning the drive, I tried to erease everything even if it was empty and then reformat. I did that with EASEUS. My machine is under win 7 pro with i7 as core. Formating alone was impossible without first wiping the drive clean something that took many hours. I do not understand why the hassle. Once that done, the drive did work as expected (so far). But I am leery of these drives that come tothe markert without a thorough design and I am not sure if the problem will not come again. I will never buy again this type of drive. Conclusion. Do not fall into that trap of cheap drive. You get what ...

    It saves my not too old HP Pavilion Dv6-6c85la

    It's very FAST compared with the original OEM Toshiba 5400 RPM Now I can even edit videos on the road "using Premiere and After Effects". Installing was a breeze after cloning it from the previous HD. I higly recommend it becose is cheaper too.. (Hope it last)
