    Why doesn't the upper section lock in any position?

    Pros - light and compact, good battery life, can use with AC power, bright. Cons - upper telescoping section only locks in the fully raised position. This is a major flaw in my opinion. It would also be nice if the AC power connection charged the battery, but it doesn't.

    durable

    well made and very durable. able to work with 12volt battery and 110 volt is a great advantage. I have this light for several years and use it a lot. it has some drawbacks like only having one locking position at fully extended, and can not be used at lowest position as the light is obstructed, so have a clamp used to hold position for best use of light.
