    Trustworthy Requiring Little Maintenance

    This is my third one. Filters are a bit too expensive but that is the only flaw. We clean with a vacuum cleaner every month and change every 6 months or longer if need be. It is a bit too noisy to use during the day while on pc and watching tv but at night the sound is comforting. The cold air is comforting during the summer but in winter we run it when we are not in the room. We suspect the improvement in air quality helps our allergies but no real way to know for sure. We hope to have one in every room we live in and spend much time in. So far one in the bedroom, office and one between kitchen and laundry.

    It is what I expected.

    I love the GermGuardian family of air purifiers. This model was the cheapest larger room air purifier i could get. I knew others complained about fan noise on higher settings and they are correct. On lowest setting, you can barely hear it. I also have a 9200 which is much quieter, but, also twice the money....so this purifier was what I expected...and it does do a good job of filtering.

    Less dust quiet no

    I do like how the product works. However, I know that it is most efficient when on high 24/7. I turn it down when I need to hear television or conversations. I find less dust settles from my fireplace with this working constantly.

    NOT a new item

    This item was advertised as new. It's not new. It was clearly repacked and the filter was covered in dust. I think our definitions of "new" are different. It even says Amazon return on the sticker. You all are bad liars.
