I bought the microphone. It was supposed to be here by a specific time. The time passed identified the seller and somehow I'm getting my money back. But they updated the price for a higher price and reposted it for sale after I paid for it and it was supposed to come to me. Never again. Will I buy from this person nor would I Do business period

Rode Video Mic Go, a good deal?
Hi, I love the mic. Easy to use with my A7rii. The good thing is that when the mic is mounted on top of the camera, you can still use the eye piece (EVF). Sound quality is excellent but the mic is very noisy if touched by your head or hands when recording. So, keep your filthy digits away from this puppy when it is recording. Also, if the mic is shaken or moved it seems very susceptible to noises too. Keep the mic still and you have a winner right here. Just my 0.02Hi, I love the mic. Easy to use with my A7rii. Knock off product I believe
I bought this product and tried to register it with Rode. The serial number was not accepted because it was listed as a number that had been used before. I immediately became suspicious that this was a knock of product. I tried to return the product and met all kinds of resistance from the seller. So I'm trying to sell this product because I am not assured that the quality of this product would match what I should of received. I did use the microphone once and it seemed to work okay but being a rookie in video photography I wouldn't know good from bad. no difference in sound quality
very disappointed in this mic. I got it for run and gun shooting on my Canon T5i and the microphone was completely useless. I ended up reselling it to someone else about three days after I purchased it. I ran several sound tests comparing it to both the internal camera mic and the on-board mics on a zoom H4n. there was absolutely no difference in sound when plugged into the camera, and yes I am certain it was operating. The H4n mics proved to be so much better that rode should be embarrassed. When plugged into the H4n the sound quality was terrible compared to the built-in mics. I am a professional Sound Mixer in mostly reality TV for over 20 years. I shoot my own projects with Canon DSLRs and I love this mic for on-the-fly interviews and gathering natural sound while shooting documentary style. I have never experienced any low level noise which I've seen written about this mic. I edit my own audio and video and this mic has never let me down. The version with the 9 volt battery seems too floppy and bulky to deal with. This pickup pattern of this mic combined with it's light weight construction and durable parts make it a good investment for me.I am a professional Sound Mixer in mostly reality TV for over 20 years.
