I am extremely pleased with this offer and purchase. Scanner works very well and was easily programmed from a laptop with the additional purchase of Butel ARC404 software (about $25) and a Radio Shack USB programming cable (about $32). Even with the additional costs like just mentioned, I am pleased. I understood before purchasing that the scanner would receive the 700-800Mhz frequency range which is not true. I also expected the alkaline AA battery tray which did not come with the scanner.

I do not understand your confusion at all. My ad was very clear. First, my description did not mention any software, cables, or alkaline battery tray, nor were any of those in the pictures. I specifically said "WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET". Also, I included a photo on the back of the scanner that showed the exact frequency ranges, so I have no clue why you would "understand" the frequency range would include the 700-800MHz band - it is not on the scanner. I could not have made an ad any clearer

    Great for WX frequencies

    I had one back during the 80’s and it worked very well, the RX was very clear, now days most frequencies are digital but the WX frequencies remains the same and this is what I got this one for.
