    Help for my application

    I haven't installed these yet since it's the winter season, but I'm hoping these will solve my exhaust manifold issues for my '71 BB Challenger convert. The stock standard exhaust gaskets allowed the closeness of the manifold to the stock valve covers to fry the valve cover gaskets & make them leak oil, mainly on the passenger side. The paint actually got burned on the outside & fried the oil on the inside of the pass.side valve cover, closest to the manifold. These SHOULD divert the manifold heat AWAY from the valve covers. At least, that's my plan & I'm sticking to it !!
