    This Is Actually a 'Caper' Movie !

    I love this movie, even though I am not at all a science person--I think this movie falls more into the 'caper' genre of movies and bears repeated viewings. The script makes the characters on the ground as interesting as those in outer space. All the actors/actresses in the roles do a great job and the time period is really brought alive.

    Same as the DVD but better detail

    By now most people have already seen Apollo 13 on DVD or VHS (or cable TV). If not, the movie details the events surrounding the failed Apollo 13 mission where three astronauts nearly died on their way to a moon landing. The performances by all the actors in this movie is excellent. And this is one of those movies where you can watch it several times and see something new every time. The Blu Ray version is exactly what you would expect for a movie that was originally on DVD and is now re-released in HD. The details are stunning and the colors are sharp and detailed. There is a visible amount of grain that is the result of how the film was originally shot and how the Blu Ray transfer was created.     Best movie ever on apollo space missions

    1st rate great special effects and sound is loud, one of the best movies about the apollo space mission and with mission 13. The effects looks like original launch shots, not effect. Great acting, great story, the commentary by jim lovell.

    Thriller!

    I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I watched the "extras" before the movie and I am glad I did. When the guy who was there is a consultant on the movie and he will accept nothing less than getting it right, you know what you are watching is accurate, very nearly a documentary. Great flick!
