This isn't really a cookbook. It's a coffee table book with beautiful pictures of the artist's edible creations. However, she provides very little directions in the way of making these creations. I tried to make the tarantula cookies and followed the directions to a T. Their little legs were so fragile that they wouldn't hold up and I ended up with these pathetic looking creatures with legs of various lengths as so many would snap and break. One of the most dramatic presentations in the "mint medusa cake." Her directions are simply "make the snakes.....secure them with a toothpick." She gives no stencils to make them and no directions. I'm a pretty accomplished home cook/baker...and this book wasn't useful for cooking at all. Its a picture book. I sold my copy to a used bookstore for $15 because I wanted something to use, not just to look at. I was shocked when I realized how expensive the book is now. I sure wouldn't pay that price.Read full review

There is no cook book like it. Christine is unique and so talented. Even if you never bake just looking at her creations is worth the purchase.
