Some great actors and great music soundtrack.

This isn't exactly my favorite type of movie or story because it is set back during the middle ages, but what I really love is the soundtrack, especially at the beginning of the movie with the Overture and later during the Training the same type of music repeats. I"m a big fan of Bryan Adams who sings for the song Everything I Do. I am also a fan of Kevin Costner and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio. Kevin was in the movie Waterworld and Mary was in The Abyss. This movie does have some good action scenes in it also.

  • Should have got original format.

I really enjoyed the original version and since I was upgrading to a blue ray I thought I would get the extended version. Most of the extended scenes were the sheriff and the witch and I really didn't need to see more of them. The scenes didn't add much to the movie as far as filling in any holes or answering any questions other than how the witch got into the room of the end scene. I can't say it ruined the movie, but I really didn't need the added scenes. I would recommend just getting the original version. I did like the bonus features and I don't know if they are included with any other format.

  • Well-crafted piece of cinema.

This is, no doubt, a great rendition and re-telling of Robin of Locksley, IF there's any way you can ignore Kevin Costner's very NON-British diction and elocution. How o how could the creators of this film overlook such an incredibly gauche element? Really! Other than that incredible error, the remaining cast of actresses/actors. Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, of course, speaks for herself and stands by herself, as always. The action, cinematography, sets, costumes...all of these and more, were first rate. Truly a job well-done.

  • ROBIN HOOD: PRINCE OF THIEVES

This classic version of 'Robin of the Hood' is always entertaining to watch. Kevin Costner and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio have a sparkling chemistry as Robin and Marian. The supporting characters are well-played, especially Morgan Freeman as the Moor who saves Robin. Excellent scenery, strong action and a good story line. Look for a surprise cameo by Sean Connery. A must see! I highly recommend this movie. You will not be sorry you watched this movie.

  • Better today than yesteryear

Hated Kevin Cosner as Robin Hood when it came out years ago. Robin Hood should have a British accent not an American accent. But time let me put that aside and I discovered a GREAT film; filled with action, adventure, romance and comedy. I can think of no other movie that succeeds at blending the genre's like Robin Hood; not even The Princess Bride.
