Came fast and is in great condition. It’s a gift for one daughter-in-law. She likes mine which has been used a lot in 39 years when I asked if she would like one she said yes. Now I need to order another for other daughter-in-law. I got her one right after they got married 18 years ago. She has lost hers but just said she would like another one.     Great Cook Book

    This out of print, hard to find book is just Great for those leaving home for first time or seasoned veteran. Whether going off to college or starting a family this is a must. It tells you everything from how to boil an egg to how to make a complex dish. How to cut a chicken, turkey to how to cook seafood. How do I make a donut from scratch? It tells you here in easy to follow instructions. How to broil just the right steak, it's here. Just how do I make salad dressing from scratch, it's here. How 'bout that birthday cake for your first child, got it. From Herbed Lamb Kabobs to Country Barbecued Ribs it's all here. We have given a copy of this book to all our children when they left home and they all tell us that it is one of the best reference books they own. We still use the book ...

    Complete Step-By-Step Cookbook- Better Homes & Gardens

    This is an older book (1978) but I love the detail that it uses to explain recipes. The book presents a recipe in the standard format... ingredients followed by instructions. But for those who need it, there is also on the same page a step-by-step picture guide that includes more detailed directions. This can benefit any cook regardless of experience. For example: Angelfood cake requires certain organizational skills and it was nice to see how the "pros" organize. It's wonderful for a beginner in the kitchen but it also answers the "veteran's" questions as well for those more involved recipes. All and all a great cookbook.

    Every kitchen should have this book!

    This is one of my all-time favorite cookbooks. My mother has has one and we used it for years and years and never once found a recipe that was bad, or that we didn't like. Now I have one for myself, and am extremely pleased to have it. This is the kitchen bible to me. It has everything from sweets to savory. Breads, proteins, and side dishes - all of them easy to follow recipes. Another thing that is great about this book, is that it explains WHY you need to follow certain steps in a recipe, and has so much information about the utensils that you will use, and how to use them properly. Pictures included, so there is no guesswork as to how it's supposed to be done. If you only have one cookbook in your house, make it this one. You simply cannot go wrong with this book. Open any ...

    Learn to cook the easy way!

    This is a cookbook title that I have had since it came out in 1978. My Grandmother gave it to me when I moved out on my own. The book is a gem! I learned to cook with the easy step by step recipies. The photos of each step helped lend understanding of the techniques used. All is explained in detail and very easy to understand. The first time cook can create delicious meals and look like a pro. I loved the book so much that I found copies for my daughter, nephew, and a few friends that were cooking challenged. It is one of the best step by step cookbooks ever!
