Hakko 633-01 Iron Holder
This is pretty much the only substantial holder/stand that will work with the FR-300 de-soldering tool. The others I have tried are just too light and flimsy. This one is heavy enough (although just barely) to keep the FR-300 from tipping. I found that filling the bottom of the cleaner holder with bird-shot improves the stability immensely.

Beautiful but impractical
The manufacturing quality of this stand is excellent and it looks as good as the photo, but it suffers from poor design decisions. Firstly it's too light and moves around every time to use it. I noted a reviewer filled the cleaner with shot to add weight, but that just emphasises that the manufacturer failed. If I keep using this I'll rivet some plate on the bottom. Secondly, the tip cleaner is not held well and pops out or rotates. The globe just drops into a hole pressed in the stand relying on a close tolerance fit. Perhaps mine has 0.1mm less paint; perhaps my lab is warm enough to have the hole expand... the problem is that there's no feature of the design to make up for tolerance errors or wear. It would have cost no more to form a flange on the hole in the pressing operation had ... To get this to hold the FR-300, you may have to bend the arm so the angle will hold the desoldering tool up high enough to clear the cord from hitting the table and tilting the desoldering gun sideways. The place holds the gun, is a loose fit, like it was made to hold something else, but it happens to be big enough for the FR300 to fit inside, although it is a loose fit at best. The desoldering gun may have to sit close the the edge of your work bench to sit properly. Hakko Should Provide This with The Desoldering Tool
This stand is essential when using the desoldering tools and it is a mystery why it is not provided in the kit (which includes almost everything else) when you buy the FR-301 tool. The stand is sturdy and serves its purpose well.
