It was packaged tightly that the tape was ripped and it would be nearly impossible to return it. The vacuum would not go together properly, would not "click" like the instructions said, but I found that a small latch was broken off and it was fixed once I glued it back on. That's the risk with refurbished, but the value was well worth it! This vacuum is amazing! It works so well that it HEATS UP my carpets from the friction!
