    A Simply Enjoyable Movie!!!!

    This is just a pure fun movie!! I remember seeing it hundreds of times when growing up in the late 50's-early 60's, and I enjoyed it even more as an adult. Its the time of move that you just have to sit back and enjoy and watch Burt Lancaster do his thing. The background music is also easy on the ears and adds to the enjoyment. Just a great movie!! Very entertaining!!

    A GEM OF A PIRATE TALE, MATEY....!!!

    This is one of those films that need no review...It is pure entertainment from beginning to end...A delightfully over the top pirate film with Burt Lancaster in his physical prime along with his trapeze partner from the days Burt worked the circus as a trapeze artist, Nick Cravet. Both these guys perform all their stunts in a movie filled with them because they are both very accomplished acrobats. Not much of a plot, but, frankly, it really doesn't need one as you will see. Those who know Lancaster from his much serious roles will be amazed at his antics here. This is highly recommended on a variety of levels for some great escapist enjoyment.

    An old Hollywood flick, but entertaining

    I enjoyed this movie as a kid & still do, primarily due to the physical athleticism and humor in it. Burt Lancaster's lieutenant (Aho, I think) is quite entertaining. The down side is that the movie is likely a Chinese ripoff, as everything BUT the actual movie dialogue is in Chinese. Had I known that, I'd likely not bought it.

    Burt Lancaster at his best!

    I haven't seen this movie in fifty years! Burt Lancaster at his absolute best! He started his career as an acrobat in the circus. No stunt doubles, no nets, no wires. Epic in scale, absurdly hilarious, endless action and adventure. Had to watch it three nights in a row to catch it all!
