Made in 1957 , just twelve years after the end of the Second World War it shows the prejudices of the time. Great music and an introduction to kabuki theater, with Ricardo Montalban playing a Japanese Kabuki dancer.

    One of the Best movies even seen

    This movie was ahead of its time. The movie is a love story is also a movie about prejudice and segregation in the afternoon it was super Marlon Brando James garner red buttons in the UK my ashy even Rahman Ricardo Montauban as a child I remember my sister and mother talking about this movie it wasn’t until many years later they sort and realize why it was so good it was ahead of his time and my second best movie which has sort of a similar theme dances with wolves I’ve never seen this movie please rent it or buy it. It is well worth your while

    Great classic movie.

    I saw this movie when I was young and loved it then. I tried to find it on Netflix or Amazon and couldn't find it. I looked on Ebay and bought it for just $6.00. Free shipping. It is a great love story. If you like the classics, you will love this movie.
