It looked like a really neat movie. While it did have excellent airbrushing that gave the actors a beautiful and surreal quality, the storyline left much to be desired. It starts of with a rather vague jumpstart of a modern world that is fighting against a civilization of people that have contracted a disease which gives them vampire like characteristics. While it sounds and looks like it would be a cool movie - it was rather sad in the fact that it revolves around one boy that everyone is trying to kill because he may have a particular strain of blood that may prove useful or harmful to one side or the other. Worth seeing once for the special effects.It looked like a really neat movie. Milla Jovovich plays yet another strong female action hero in this Sci-Fi Action thriller! She was terrific in the Fifth Element and Resident Evil as the heroine that rescues humanity from evil. If you like movies like: Aeon Flux, Tomb Raider or UnderWorld then you're going to enjoy this movie! If this type of movie doesn't interest you, then this probably isn't your cup of tea! In this movie, she plays Ultraviolet a genetically modified human; she has super human speed, stamina and intelligence. These genetically modified humans have been created by exposing their genes to a vampirelike disease. The world is pushed to the brink of a civil war to get rid of the "diseased" population. Ultraviolet, a genetically modified human, finds herself protecting a young boy who has been marked for ... Milla Jovovich plays yet another strong female action hero in this Sci-Fi Action thriller!
