  • An Excellent Compromise!

As a professional in theatre and academia, I am always leery of any "new and improved" version of the Bard's work. That said, I am keenly aware of the increasing difficulty in getting students to a) read and b) understand the works of Shakespeare. This series of "no fear" versions of Shakespeare goes a long way to minimize those difficulties. It remains true to the text, while utilizing a vocabulary that greatly assists comprehension on the part of first-time readers. I recommend it for the classroom, as well as the stage.

  • Shakespeare

Shakespeare, what can I say? As Lincoln said if you like that kind of book, that’s a book that you will like.
